The challenge

The problem we set out to solve

Selling insurance and annuities is knowledge-intensive: products are complex, underwriting rules are dense, and the right answer often lives in a manual no agent has time to read mid-conversation. New and mid-tier agents lose deals not because they lack effort but because they lack instant access to the guidance that top performers carry in their heads. Slow, uncertain quoting frustrates prospects and lets momentum leak out of the sale, while inconsistent advice creates compliance and quality risk. What providers need is a way to put expert-level coaching and accurate product knowledge in front of every agent, on every call — grounded in real source material so the guidance can be trusted rather than hallucinated.

How we built it

Build a grounded knowledge base

We indexed product, underwriting and sales material into a Pinecone vector store so the assistant retrieves from authoritative sources. This is the foundation that keeps its coaching accurate.

Ground responses with RAG

We used a retrieval-augmented generation architecture over GPT-4 so every answer is grounded in retrieved source content rather than the model's assumptions. Agents get advice they can trust and act on.

Support underwriting decisions

We built the assistant to interpret underwriting criteria and guide agents toward the right products and next steps for each prospect. It compresses the research that used to stall a quote.

Coach agents through the sale

We designed a real-time mentoring flow that suggests talking points and next-best actions as the conversation unfolds. Every agent gets the instincts of a top closer at their side.

Deliver a fast, embedded experience

We built the front end in React and deployed on Vercel so the mentor is fast, always available and integrated into the agent's workflow. Speed at the point of sale is what converts.
