SeeVitals
Contactless vital-signs monitoring through computer vision, no wearables required.

About SeeVitals
SeeVitals is a contactless remote patient-monitoring solution that captures vital signs using computer vision alone, without any wearable device. By analyzing subtle signals in a standard video feed, it delivers continuous, 24/7 monitoring and earlier warning of clinical deterioration.

The problem we set out to solve
Continuous vital-signs monitoring has traditionally depended on wearables and bedside sensors, which patients forget to charge, find uncomfortable, or simply stop wearing, leaving dangerous gaps in coverage. Wearable-based programs are also costly to distribute and support at scale, and intermittent spot-checks can miss the early, gradual changes that precede a serious event. For at-risk and remote patients, the window between the first subtle sign of deterioration and a critical incident is exactly what determines outcomes. The clinical need is for monitoring that is truly continuous, effortless for the patient, and sensitive enough to catch problems early, without asking anyone to wear anything.
How we built it
Vision-based signal extraction
We use remote photoplethysmography and related computer-vision techniques to recover physiological signals from ordinary video, with no contact sensors involved.
Signal processing and ML models
TensorFlow models and Python signal-processing pipelines translate raw pixel-level changes into stable, clinically meaningful vital-sign estimates.
Low-latency streaming
WebRTC streams video securely in real time, enabling continuous monitoring from a patient's own environment rather than a clinical setting.
Clinical alerting and dashboards
A React front end surfaces live readings and trends, and triggers early-warning alerts when metrics drift toward risk thresholds.
Key capabilities
Contactless vitals capture
Vital signs are measured from video with zero wearables or attached sensors.
24/7 continuous monitoring
Patients are watched around the clock rather than in occasional spot-checks.
Early-warning alerts
The system flags deterioration trends before they become critical events.
Real-time video streaming
WebRTC delivers secure, low-latency feeds from the patient's location.
Clinician dashboard
A live React interface presents readings, trends, and alerts at a glance.
Cloud-scale processing
AWS infrastructure runs the vision and ML pipelines reliably at scale.
Outcomes that moved the needle
SeeVitals enables 30% earlier detection of patient deterioration with zero wearables needed and true 24/7 continuous monitoring. By turning any camera into a clinical-grade sensor, it closes the coverage gaps left by wearables and gives care teams more time to intervene when it matters most.
